Terms of Service

The legal wording, the governing law and the company details have not been checked by anyone qualified, and the operating entity is not yet named. Do not rely on this document as it stands.
Who this is between
These terms are between you — the person or company using Tracebird — and the operating entity behind it, [legal entity name, registration number and registered address to be inserted]. Using the service means accepting them.
What the service is
Tracebird collects feedback from your testers with the technical context of their session attached, groups duplicate reports, and lets your team triage them. You install our SDK in your own application; what it captures is configured by you.
Your account
You are responsible for who you invite into your workspace and for what they do there. Workspace API tokens read and write every report in the workspace — treat them as passwords, and revoke any that leak.
One person may not share an account with another. Seats are counted per plan, and working around that limit is a breach of these terms.
What you must not do
- Use Tracebird to capture data from an application you do not own or are not authorised to instrument.
- Capture data you have no lawful basis to collect, or that your own testers have not been told about. It is your obligation to disclose what your app captures; Captured context exists so you can link to it.
- Deliberately capture payment card numbers, health records, government identifiers or credentials. The SDK masks inputs by default; disabling that for such fields is on you.
- Attempt to reach another customer's workspace, probe the service for weaknesses without written permission, or resell access.
Your data
Reports, projects and everything you put into Tracebird remain yours. We claim no ownership and do not use your reports to train models. We process them to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You can export everything as CSV or JSON at any time, on any plan, without asking us.
Plans, payment and limits
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. Prices are shown on the pricing page and exclude any tax we are required to add.
Reports are unlimited on paid plans and are never refused: collecting a bug report is the one thing this service must always do. What is metered is the AI analysis — 2,000 reports a month on Indie, 10,000 on Studio, shown in your settings as you use it. Beyond the allowance, reports still arrive with their full technical context; the generated titles, severity and grouping resume at the start of the next month, or immediately on a larger plan. Seats, projects and retention are limited per plan and those limits are enforced.
If a payment fails we retry for five days. Nothing is taken away during that time. If it has still not settled, the subscription ends and the workspace returns to the free plan — we delete nothing, and your projects, reports and teammates stay as they are. You simply cannot add more until you are back within the free limits.
You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund a period already started, except where the law requires it or where we got something wrong.
Changing or ending things
We may change the service, and we may change these terms. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect; continuing to use Tracebird after that is acceptance.
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. Except for abuse that causes immediate harm, we will tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to fix it first. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give 90 days' notice and you keep your export.
What we do not promise
We work to keep Tracebird available and correct, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or free of defects, and there is no contractual uptime commitment on the published plans.
AI triage is a suggestion, not a judgement. Titles, severities and suspected causes are generated by a model and are sometimes wrong. Read the report.
We may change the AI allowance, the models we use, or the provider behind them. If a change reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you 30 days beforehand.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost data or indirect loss. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
